================================================================================ DARALBEIDA — MOROCCO PROOF-OF-CONCEPT SOURCING TRIP FIELD READINESS PACK ================================================================================ DOCUMENT CONTROL -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Document ID: DARX-OPS-TRIP-READINESS-20260527 Version: 1.0 Date: 2026-05-27 (Pacific Time) Prepared by: ____________________ Trip window: ____________________ (target milling season Nov-Feb for live observation) Status: DRAFT — confirm fields before departure PURPOSE & SCOPE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This pack covers what the two existing checklists do NOT: physical readiness and in-country sample chain-of-custody execution. It is the operational companion to: - Daralbeida Sourcing Checklist (48 control points, 8 sub-sections) - Daralbeida Checklist Terrain (70 criteria, 7 phases) — use on each site visit - DAB-SOP-SOURCING-001 Rev1 (5-phase qualification SOP) Do not re-run those lists here. This document tells you what to carry, what to bring back, and exactly how to pull, screen, seal and log a sample so the chain of custody holds from grove to lab. NOTE — carry the CORRECTED tariff position, not the Terrain PDF's old note. The Terrain checklist still says the IEEPA 10% tariff was "suspended May 2025, appeal in progress." That is outdated. The US Supreme Court struck down the IEEPA tariffs entirely on 2026-02-20; a Section 122 global tariff replaced them within hours and remains in flux. Do NOT quote duty figures to producers. Confirm the live position with US trade counsel before the trip. ================================================================================ 1. QC & SAMPLING KIT (the part nobody else packs — pack it first) ================================================================================ [ ] CDR OxiTester Junior unit (Gate 1 field screening) + power/charging [ ] OxiTester reagents/cuvettes — FFA, peroxide value, polyphenols (check expiry, bring spares for the full number of planned samples + 30% margin) [ ] Calibrated digital thermometer (verify cold-extraction <=27C claims on site) [ ] Dark-glass sample bottles, 100-250ml, new/unused (3 per producer minimum: one for Gate 1 on-site, one sealed retain, one for Gate 2 lab) [ ] Tamper-evident numbered seals / security tape [ ] Pre-printed sample labels + permanent marker (lot ID, date, time, source) [ ] Nitrile gloves, funnel, lint-free wipes [ ] Insulated cooler bag + gel packs (keep samples cool and dark in transit) [ ] Small luggage scale (sample weight / informal volume checks) [ ] Power adapter (Morocco = Type C/E, 220V) + power bank Gate thresholds to verify on the OxiTester (Gate 1, in-country): Free fatty acidity (FFA) <= 0.5 % Peroxide value <= 12 meq O2/kg Polyphenols >= 250 mg/kg If a sample diverges from the producer's own COA by more than ~15%, flag it. ================================================================================ 2. DOCUMENTATION KIT ================================================================================ Hand-carry (paper, signed where noted): [ ] Standardised producer qualification questionnaire (blank copies x candidates) [ ] Supplier inquiry / NDA or confidentiality letter (signed copies to leave) [ ] Terrain Checklist (70 criteria) — printed, one per site visit [ ] Per-producer data-capture sheet (Section 5 below) — printed copies [ ] Sample chain-of-custody log (Section 4) — printed [ ] Business cards; one-page Daralbeida intro (Daralbeida(TM), not the spaced form) Digital (offline copies on phone + laptop, not cloud-dependent): [ ] ONSSA approved/authorised establishments list (downloaded before travel) [ ] DAB-SOP-SOURCING-001 Rev1 and the 48-point Sourcing Checklist [ ] This readiness pack [ ] Photos folder ready for: agrement certificates, COAs, mill, tanks, registers ================================================================================ 3. PRE-DEPARTURE (T-3 WEEKS) ================================================================================ [ ] Confirm appointments during ACTIVE milling (Nov-Feb) to observe extraction [ ] Re-verify each candidate's ONSSA agrement (agrement, not mere authorisation) against the published list — eliminatory, no exceptions [ ] Pre-arrange Gate 2 accredited lab BEFORE travel: SGS or Bureau Veritas (LOARC Casablanca is the COI reference lab for in-country work) -- do NOT use any lab whose name contains "euro" [ ] Confirm how samples will move to the lab (drop in-country vs carry to US) [ ] Map travel route between estates; confirm regional ONSSA office proximity [ ] Currency (MAD cash), local SIM/eSIM, offline maps [ ] Tell US Agent / field agent the itinerary ================================================================================ 4. SAMPLE COLLECTION & CHAIN-OF-CUSTODY PROTOCOL ================================================================================ The goal is an unbroken, reconstructable record from tank to lab. Run this at EVERY site, identically. Step 1 — Gate 0 (witnessed at-source). Draw the sample yourself, or directly witness it being drawn from the named tank. Record tank ID. Do not accept a pre-poured "sample" handed to you from the office. Step 2 — Fill three bottles from the same draw. Cap, wipe, apply numbered seal. Step 3 — Label each: Lot ID, estate, cultivar, tank ID, date, time, your initials. Lot ID format: DAB-[YY]-[Month]-[SupplierCode]-[TankID]-[Seq] Step 4 — Gate 1 (on site). Run one bottle on the OxiTester. Record FFA, peroxide, polyphenols against the thresholds above. Note temperature of store/tank. Step 5 — Log all three bottles in the chain-of-custody log (below). The retain and lab bottles stay sealed; keep them cool and dark in the cooler bag. Step 6 — Photograph: the tank, the seal/label, the producer's matching COA. CHAIN-OF-CUSTODY LOG (one line per bottle) Seal# | Lot ID | Estate | Tank | Date | Time | Bottle (G1/Retain/Lab) | Held by -------|--------|--------|------|------|------|------------------------|-------- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ================================================================================ 5.
